PERTO is the Portuguese word for ‘near’ or ‘close.’

Transforming the meanings of stage events through live cameras and video manipulation,
‘Perto’ creates a fascinating imaginative space, blurring the boundaries between ‘virtual’ and
‘real’.

Combining contemporary circus, video art, dance and physical theater, ‘Perto’ explores human
relationships mediated by technology, presenting a thought-provoking examination of our modern
society.
